Call for Papers

The pharmaceutical market becomes more competitive every day. With increasing pressure from generics, new products, payers, and existing players; industry leaders must rely on deep, accurate insights to drive brand growth and maintain leadership in today's new competitive environment.

Our business environment is reflected in our upcoming 2012 AGM theme—Competing to Win: Ensuring Success at every Step of the LifeCycle.The Annual General Meeting will take place from May 20-23 at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, IL. In order reach our educational goals, we are requesting proposals around 3 topic areas. We have listed some suggestions from our Manufacturers around each topic. Presentations which can incorporate Manufacturer involvement at the AGM are highly valued, and should be noted on the proposals.

Preparing for a Successful Product Launch

  • Sizing market potential in Emerging Markets or Rare diseases
  • Using Patient Journey to identify actionable strategy
  • Developing a compelling value proposition for payers
  • Strategies for developing companion diagnostics, biomarkers, etc
  • How to uncover emotive drivers and how to act on them
  • Integrating strategic CI into product planning
  • Mapping and accessing key stakeholders needs (payer targets, key advocates etc)

Growing and Defending an Existing Brand

  • Re-positioning/revitalization of an existing brand
  • How to measure investment opportunities (lifecycle, acquisition, etc)
  • Using the internet to build support / patient advocacy
  • Using advanced analytics to allocate resources
  • Selling simulations / Sales Rep optimization
  • Strategy & tactics for increasing adherence/retention
  • Understanding potential impact of BioSimilars

Measuring the Impact of New Products / Initiatives

  • Forecasting uptake; considerations for market access, hospital formulary
  • Using analog analysis to shape competitive strategy
  • Online sentiment, tracking social media, buzz about brands
  • Tracking and understanding business through specialty pharmacy channels
